I spent months on a recent deployment researching and comparing coolers. The first thing that jumped out at me for the Orion's was the color. Finally, something different. But, when you get to looking at features like the bottle openers at each corner, the latches, handles, accessory rails, and lid pad, it's hard to find anything else that compares. And all these features are integrated nicely, and don't compromise any functionality. The drain plug unscrews part way so that it stays attached and has holes in it so it can drain. Or if you need it to drain faster, it can come all the way out and you can crack the lid. Coming from someone who has never owned a high end cooler, ice retention blew me away. I filled it with beer and ice machine ice that generally doesn't last that long, and lasted a solid 6 days. Over a 15 day vacation, I had to add ice 2 more times (temps in the 40s at night, 70s in the day), and I didn't HAVE to fill the cooler with ice, either. Oh, and I was able to 24 bottles standing upright, although I had to take the tray out. After some time with these coolers, the extra cost in this market has been well worth it.
